This wasn't the only time an artifact of immense power came under threat of slipping into the hands of a madman, though. Instead, the Squadron Supreme, Blade, and some more surprising faces will get a much-deserved spotlight in a series that seems to be anything but predictable. The series is shaping up quite well considering it initially appeared to be a lame attempt at reviving one of Marvel's worst events. Is this version of Doctor Spectrum so powerful that not even the Mad Titan can stop him from enforcing the rule of law? No matter what happens, it's cool to see Doctor Spectrum get showcased as the character, while a satirical take on the Green Lantern, is still really fun to see in action. Regardless, he will be wielding Infinity Rings, which is a remix of Mandarin's Ten Rings and the Infinity Stones/Gauntlet. It's still unclear what's going on with Thanos, as earlier teases made him look like a vampire. However, a brand new image from the issue shows Doctor Spectrum using the Power Prism to fight off Thanos. However, this version of Doctor Spectrum will be the "most feared lawman in the heavens." Dark forces will hire a bounty hunter, Rocket Raccoon, to kill him. Originally debuting in Avengers #69 by Roy Thomas and Sal Buscema, Doctor Spectrum is a satire of DC's Green Lantern, who instead of a lantern ring, uses an alien gem called the Power Prism to manipulate light energy, build constructs, and fly. Issue four is particularly striking because it will focus on Marvel's Green Lantern, Doctor Spectrum. Marvel revealed the synopses for the first four issues of Heroes Reborn on Monday. The Squadron Supreme, not the Avengers, have become Earth's Mightiest Heroes, Wolverine has joined a different version of Alpha Flight, Captain America was never freed from the block of ice, Tony Stark was never trapped in a cave, Thor is a hard-drinking Atheist who hates hammers, and Doctor Doom has acquired Juggernaut's armors. In their story, the Marvel Universe is quite a bit different. Marvel is reusing the ' Heroes Reborn,' title for Jason Aaron and Ed McGuinness's upcoming arc.
